Philadelphia
A periodical published by the City Government
1909-1911

This monthly periodical, while in some ways simply a public relations organ for the City, also includes some valuable information not easily found elsewhere, as well as many photographs, maps and other illustrations of the topics presented. Each issue generally focuses on a single aspect of the city. The facsimile PDFs listed below were created using photocopies that I made probably in 1998, and probably at the Free Library of Philadelphia. PLEASE NOTE: These issues are probably not complete, but may only include those pages which interested me at the time.

I have also included a PDF which lists all the copies of Philadelphia I found, with a brief
description of the subject of each volume.

Vol. II, No. 6, June 1910 [PDF, 4 mb] Water Supply of a Great City

Vol. IV, No. 6, June 1911: [PDF, 4 mb] Underground Philadelphia: Main and branch sewers

Vol. V, No. 1, July 1911: [PDF, 4 mb] Underground Philadelphia, No. 2--Water Supply System

List of all Philadelphia volumes, with topics covered. [PDF]
